Bristol Water supplies water to over 1.1 million people and businesses in an area of almost 2,400 square kilometres centres on Bristol. We take water from nearly 70 different sources which range from reservoirs, rivers, springs, wells and boreholes. Our largest reservoir is Chew Valley Lake which can hold 20,240 million litres of water.
We use some of the latest technology and sophisticated IT systems, to ensure our complex network (which includes 164 pumping stations and over 6,600 km's of pipe) runs smoothly 24 hours a day.
