As a Disability Confident Employer, CSET is committed to equal opportunities and encourages applicants from all backgrounds and communities, as we recognise the importance and benefit this has for our children.

You may already be an Assistant Headteacher or a Deputy Headteacher in a smaller school looking to develop professionally by sharing your experience and talent in a bigger school, which can also offer further career progression and opportunities.

Based at Lyde Green near Bristol our aim is to inspire and encourage a passion for lifelong learning in our children, sparking curiosity, promoting creativity and nurturing developing passions to ensure that our pupils grow and thrive on their journey through school. Our curriculum places huge importance on reading and a love of books. It also promotes the ‘big ideas’ of diversity, society and exploration.

Our dedicated team of staff model themselves as lifelong learners and put our children’s best interests at the heart of everything they do and they work hard to ensure pupils remain challenged, motivated and engaged with their learning throughout their time with us.

The school currently has 493 pupils comprising two EYFS classes, two Y1, three Y2 classes, three Y3, three Y4, two Y5 and two Y6 classes. Lyde Green Primary School also has a Specialist Access Centre for up to 16 pupils with a diagnosis of ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) and complex learning needs.

We value kindness, resilience and tolerance and expect our pupils and staff to demonstrate these values daily. We also believe in the importance of courage when trying new things, collaboration and teamwork to achieve things together and the importance of always being respectful to one another.

We can offer you:

  • A brand-new school with modern resources in which you can make your mark;
  • A commitment to CPD
  • A clear curriculum vision and focus on evidence-based practice
  • Commitment to inclusivity and fostering of diversity
  • Up to 30% discount with Microsoft & Dell

You will be an experienced and passionate educator, with a proven track record of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

You will need to value the impact of a holistic approach to behaviour management and ideally be Team Teach trained.

You will undertake management responsibilities and have the confidence and ability to model excellent teaching practice to other practitioners, as and when required. You may have been a SENDCo in the past or have specific experience in behaviour management and attendance issues.
