Job Requirements/Description

Full Time 37 hours per week, Fixed Term until 31st March 2025. Secondments will be accepted from partner agencies.

We are recruiting to a fixed term Policy and Strategy Lead to support the partnership in our work to implement Working Together across the system.

The publication of Working Together 2023 presents a range of opportunities and challenge to the safeguarding partnership in the city. 

You will have a proven track record of embedding policy into systems and processes within Children's Services. You will work with Senior Leaders to develop new governance and policy processes for the partnership including:

New governance arrangements for the KBSP including the role of Lead Safeguarding Partners and Independent Scrutiny

New assessment guidance and approach for undertaking s17 assessments developed collaboratively with social work team and statutory safeguarding partners

A review of the governance arrangements for facilitating the engagement and representation of the education and VCSE sectors

The role will work within the existing multi-disciplinary KBSP Business Unit and have close working links to the BCC Corporate Policy team and partner agencies safeguarding leads.
