Insurance Trading Manager

Salary: Up to 52,000 per annum DOE + Hybrid working + Annual Bonus

About the role

RAC have an exciting new opportunity for an Insurance Trading Manager to work within our award-winning Insurance Division. The role will support the Head of trading with the performance for motor, van, BBI and home products. In addition, this role will lead the product performance for some of our niche Insurance products (Travel, temp and learner insurance, and car hire excess), proactively reviewing performance data, trends and generating ideas to maximise trading performance.

Building collaborative relationships with our internal teams including Finance, Pricing and Marketing you will be responsible for daily and weekly reporting on trade funnels and Price comparison site positioning and sharing insight with the wider commercial team.

The role is based in our iconic Bradley Stoke office, working hybrid hours of 2 days a week in the office and 3 days a week working from home.

What you will do 

• Develop and execute a distribution plan for Niche Insurance products through the management of performance of our introducer third party relationships and workin internally with our marketing team to encompass digital direct channels (SEO / PPC etc.) where appropriate.
• Contribute to and deliver successful trading strategies for the insurance products, from new business through to retention. Own the plans for the niche insurance products to drive growth in new and retaining customers, alongside value and income per policy metrics.
• Support Head of Trading by working with Pricing and Insurer Management Team to develop a data strategy for motor and home insurance products, enabling RAC to secure preferential rates from insurers through deployment of unique RAC data assets.
• Attend third-party introducer meetings as required to support the development and implementation of insurer strategies and initiatives.
• Work with the Product Team to ensure optimal operational processes and customer experience for Insurance products are delivered to support delivery of commercial performance metrics.

What you will need

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience of working with personal lines insurance products and have a good understanding of general insurance regulatory principles and practices. 

This is a fast-paced department so you will need to be able to prioritise workload and keep on track to delivering successful trading, retention, digital and marketing plans. You will have good commercial acumen and experience of managing KPI’s and driving performance.
