The role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced professional to the role of Digital Marketing and Data Officer at the University of Bristol. This role will assist in taking a data first approach, providing high quality and timely data analysis to support related digital marketing activities. The postholder will deliver reports and develop reporting capabilities to meet demand. This encompasses campaign monitoring, SEO analysis, marketing automation, user experience evaluation, and portfolio enhancement through data-driven insights.

What will you be doing?

  • Use a variety platforms and data tools to collate, organise, and analyse marketing data sets. Interpret reporting patterns and trend to support informed decision making.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests from internal stakeholders for recruitment, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and digital marketing related data insights.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues across the Directorate on matters related to recruitment, SEO, analytics and digital marketing related data products.
  • Assist in the timely circulation of internal digital analytics and marketing performance related market research surveys.
  • Assist with shared analytical projects with other members of division and contribute to the planning, implementation, and integration of new systems.
  • Solve problems relating to standard data products, liaising with data providers, and escalating issues where appropriate.

You should apply if

  • You have experience collecting, handling, analysing and reporting on data.
  • You have demonstrable interest in SEO, digital marketing, statistics and data analysis, ad experience delivering and reporting on in-bound marketing activities and content.
  • You have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You have advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • You have experience of working with MS PowerBI.
  • You have knowledge of analytics, tracking and reporting tools, (including GA4, Google Tag Manager and Data Studio/Looker), processes and best practice, and analysing data to make informed decisions.
