Are you a social work manager or an experienced social worker with good supervisory skills looking for a management position in a very busy social work office in South Bristol? If you have good management skills and a proven ability in Child Protection and Court Work, we would like to hear from you.

You will join an area service where people are friendly and helpful. In this job-share role you would lead, manage, support, and supervise one of the ten small teams based together at Symes House in the south of Bristol. The management team is strong and supportive, with good supervision and peer support.

Each one of the small teams is made up of a Team Manager, three full-time Social Workers, a full-time Family Support Worker, and a full-time administrator. You will manage the five colleagues in the small team and lead the practice. The service works with children in need, children on a child protection plan, family re-unification, and undertakes court work.

The Signs of Safety model is used, and a high priority is placed on working collaboratively with families and professionals to create change for children. Bristol is working hard to embed systemic social work principles in our practice. Our priority is to work with families to keep children living safely within their families.

There are very effective partnerships and relationships with the Family in Focus service, and other agencies, located in South Bristol. A range of good quality training and opportunities for development are available in Bristol.
