Deputy Service Manager

Fixed Term Position until 31/10/24 

The service is responsible for working with children in need, those in need of protection, and those before the Court. Bristol uses Signs of Safety in our work, and we are committed to developing systemic practice.

South Bristol is an interesting and challenging area to work in. There are good links with partner agencies, and a wide range of developments and projects in the area. 

You will join a strong management team, consisting of a Service manager, two deputy area service managers, and ten team managers.

You will manage part of the service, safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes for them; with the focus on delivering consistent, high quality Social Work interventions with families, and leading and supporting Signs of Safety practice and performance quality. 

You will also be involved in budget management, resolving complaints; and undertaking projects to tackle challenges and inequalities, within the area and the wider City.

If you are registered with SWE, have solid experience in children’s Social Work, and have management experience; and you want an opportunity to develop and deepen your skills, we would welcome your application.
