Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Friday- 9:00am-5:30pm

An exciting opportunity has come up to help drive the development of our commercial business and join our award-winning marketing team.

You’ll play a key role in growing the non-residential B2B areas of our work – from waste and reuse to facilities management, including cleaning and security. 

By raising awareness of our commercial work, and improving our tenders, you will help boost our existing business sales and generate new customer leads.

Working closely with the business development team, you’ll develop our B2B customer experience, campaigns, and communications, to help our company reach new customers as well as retaining – and increasing value from – existing customers.

This role includes the creation of marketing collateral, digital and social media content, organising attendance at trade events, improving our tenders, tracking ROI, monitoring industry trends and benchmarking against competitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute acquisition marketing plans that support business objectives, retain and develop existing customers, generate leads and grow our business
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, and particularly our Commercial team to create targeted campaigns that reach our ideal customers
  • Develop and produce marketing for social media, search engine optimisation, and online ads
  • Develop marketing campaigns that tackle specific challenges we see with our business customers (i.e. food waste reduction, contamination)
  • Explore opportunities to partner with other businesses / organisations to reach new audiences and build brand awareness
  • Support the growth of Reuse working with Reuse Growth Manager to raise the profile of Reuse and IT Reuse
  • Research key B2B events for prospecting and building awareness, and manage end to end from booking to event materials. Write and edit copy, and source visuals including photography and video, for print and digital collateral
  • Manage budgets and track ROI for all marketing initiatives 
  • Analyse customer data to identify trends and develop targeted marketing programmes
  • Conduct market research, and monitor industry trends and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations to management
  • Manage digital marketing to support business growth, including commercial social media and website content, emails, search engine optimisation, online advertising and print collateral.
  • Ensure good customer engagement and retention, creating educational content, personalised email campaigns, and loyalty programs to keep customers engaged 
  • Support the Head of Marketing & Communications with bid management and writing
  • Represent and promote the company with a range of external stakeholders
  • Support the wider Marketing & Communications team as required 

Essential Requirements for the Role:

  • To be successful in this role you will have relevant experience of B2B marketing including developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies, tracking and monitoring the success of campaigns and communicating with a wide range of clients, colleagues and other stakeholders using a variety of channels
  • Must possess excellent organisational, verbal, presentation and written communication skills, as well as pay attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to compile, analyse and use data to inform campaigns and initiatives 
  • Creative thinker and initiative-taker
  • Highly developed networking skills and ability to continually develop and promote Bristol Waste in the commercial sector
  • High level of person integrity 
  • Current and valid driving licence
  • Experience of working in waste or facilities management commercial sectors 
  • Design skills
