Salary (Based on 42 hours), 4 on 4 off rota: £29,047.20

We are currently recruiting Planner/Dispatcher at our Bristol HQ. The post holder will provide cover during hours of 07:00-19:00, on a 4 on 4 off basis.

You will be the first point of contact for Bristol Ambulance EMS, being able to professionally manage inbound calls, conference calls and queries.

The ideal candidate, with support from the Duty Operations manager, will be able to work in partnership with other NHS professionals and stakeholders who have an interest in the company and provide assistance with respect and courtesy, all whilst upholding the Bristol Ambulance company image and values.

Main duties of the job

You will be able to provide a thorough understanding of the differing needs of different users, whether this be co-ordinating a conference call, taking a patient booking or engaging with staff throughout the day.

You will be able to effectively manage and triage situations that may occur.

A good knowledge of IT systems (training provided), excellent phone manner, efficient reporting and being able to demonstrate your ability to work in a high-pressured environment is imperative to this role.

You will be the crucial link between the day and night team; therefore, you must be able to report and hand over accurately each evening, having an awareness of the effect this has on the night – time operation.
