Full Job Description

The successful applicant will be based from the Bristol Depot. You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of presentation and customer service. With the support of the larger business you will be required to take ownership and responsibility, delivering the highest standards that you, CPS Grounds and our customers can all be proud of.

The successful candidate will be experienced and conscientious. A good team member able to work in various locations (independently or as part of a team) focusing on high standards in;

• Sports Field Maintenance
• Pitch improvements and renovations
• Gang mowing
• Pitch marking
• Artificial turf
• Cricket squares
• Athletic tracks and events

Desirable experience

• Demonstrate a solid background and understanding of all sports field operations.
• Sports pitch husbandry, renovations and improvement knowledge – be able to advise and assist from initial pitch inspections to establish client needs to carrying out these operations to a high standard.
• Assist in managing and developing the improvement of synthetic surfaces.
• Experience in setting out initial markings and re marking of all sports pitch facilities, including rugby, football, athletic tracks (straight and oval), rounders, softball, javelin, hard court markings (tennis/netball) etc
• Full driving licence.
• Enthusiasm in the role and value the standard of work and presentation CPS maintain. A positive “can do” attitude.
• Ability to pass an enhanced DBS.
• PA1/PA6 Pesticide spraying licence
• H&S knowledge
• Valid First Aid certificate
• Recognised horticultural/technical qualifications would be advantageous.
• Trailer licence
• Tractor driving experience would also be an advantage.
• The successful candidate could be offered between £20,000 and £26,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
