About the role
Are you interested in helping to design and deliver solutions to homelessness? An opportunity has arisen to support Bristol City Council’s response to homelessness which involves commissioning, service delivery and policy development.
You’ll be working as part of our Homelessness Commissioning Team, with a specific focus on commissioning and monitoring supported accommodation for single homeless people and homeless families. You will be responsible for liaising regularly with partner organisations to commission new services, monitor quality and performance and troubleshooting day-to-day issues. Through research and analysis you will contribute to policy development and the implementation of best practice.
We are looking for someone who is committed to implementing client-focused solutions to help people recover from homelessness. You will need excellent organisation skills and the flexibility to work across, and meet deadlines for, multiple projects simultaneously.
You will need to be able to pick up new systems quickly and interpret data from a variety of sources to assess and report on quality and performance. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to establish excellent working relationships with stakeholders to overcome barriers and achieve outcomes.
Why Bristol City Council?
At Bristol City Council, we go that extra mile for our people; we offer a work environment which is fast moving and supportive, giving you the chance to use your skills and develop new ones within a high-profile organisation. For the majority of our roles hybrid working arrangements are available, giving teams the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice – mixing both home and office working.
Join us and you’ll receive an excellent rewards package including flexible working and flexitime, membership of the Local Government Pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance. In addition, you’ll be working in a supportive environment where you’ll have the chance to make Bristol a better place and contribute to its future.
