Job Requirements/Description

Do you have experience supporting vulnerable people and those with complex needs?

Happy to travel to various homes across Bristol and South Gloucestershire?

Want to have an earning potential of over £30,000 per year?

We may have just the role for you...

Come and join a Charity focused on people rather than profit.

We are looking for a Support Co-Ordinator who shares our purpose, to join our expanding Independent Living Services Team where we house and support young people 16+ under Local Authority Care across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

We have properties in Yate, Henbury, Emersons Green, Kingswood and soon Bedminster. We need people who are flexible to work from any of these locations (a car driver is needed, due to the spread of homes)

We are looking for someone to work Full-time (37.5 hours per week) or Part-time (minimum of 15 hours per week) on a rota basis. We need people who are flexible to work varying shifts including sometimes a pattern of (3pm-11pm, 11pm - 8am (sleep) and then 8am - 4pm) if we have young people who need 24 hour support.

We provide bespoke support packages to suit a broad range of young people ranging from 24/7 to a few hours per week. Our focus is to provide the highest quality of support in line with Ofsted Standards. We aim to enhance individuals' independence skills, empowering them to advance their aspirations with greater confidence and capability.

Why should you consider this opportunity?

  • Work within a fun, established and very supportive team.
  • Management support from a very well established and tight knit senior management team with decades of experience.
  • Career growth, join a service which has grown in the last 5 years from a few properties to 20+ across 5 counties.

You'll Re-enforce, positive support being delivered and establish the same standards in new placements.

Provide a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to empower young people in improving independent living skills.

Safeguard them from any potential danger, harm, or abuse.

Accurately document notes on our computer system and ensure seamless communication with support staff for effective handovers.

While the role may present challenges, the rewards of witnessing the positive impact of your guidance and support on these young lives are truly extraordinary.

To excel in this position, you'll need to be flexible, patient, resilient, and professional, approaching your duties with a calm and caring demeanour.
