Salary: Starting on £24,620 with a progression opportunity to up to £26,650 pro rata per annum

We are excited to advertise a new opportunity to join our Specialist Community Forensic Team. SCFT is a Multi-Disciplinary Team that focus on support people in secure mental hospitals in their transition to the community. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are central to our work. We are looking for:

• Someone who is passionate about mental health and helping others.
• Someone who is able to connect with people who have been hospitalized, struggled with substances misuse and other complex needs.
• Someone that can multitask and work well in a clinical professional team with protocols and forms, but also being flexible to adapt to a client’s needs and can build meaningful professional relationships.
• Someone passionate about mental health and who can support Second Step’s work bridging the gap between primary and secondary mental health services.

The successful candidate will;

• Understand the different aspects involved in supporting people with complex needs to access the right kind of support at the right time.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the mental health sector and landscape, including knowledge of appropriate services and organisations.
• Have some knowledge of coaching and motivational interviewing techniques used to support and enable healthier behaviours with clients.
• Be able to offer personalised support, advice and guidance to individual clients with a focus on co-produced individualised interventions.
• Be able assess and adapt to varying degrees and complexities of risk.
