Are you an enthusiastic Engineer looking for the next step in your career? Are you experienced in the in one or several areas of engineering: piping engineering, mechanical, HVAC, safety? Are you the type of person who likes a fast-paced environment and likes to be challenged?

If so, join us as a Plant Layout Engineer and you’ll join one of the most exciting and ambitious projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK.

The Opportunity...

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, oversees the design (basic design) and the realisation (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects.

EPR-E is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

As a Plant Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for the input of data for the layout engineering of the building and to improve and modify designs. In this role you will be producing technical documents and issuing layout drawings to various teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of building one of the largest, most complex projects in Europe.
