Our client, a market leading manufacturer of motion generator technology are on the hunt for a strategic Buyer to join the procurement team!

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be involved in sourcing top quality materials by negotiating with suppliers and managing procurement processes to support engineering and production teams.

Other responsibilities include:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the company's standards for quality, cost, and reliability.
• Manage purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials and components.
• Overseeing supplier performance, ensuring compliance is met and performance standards are met.
• Contribute towards continuously improving ideas and initiatives within the procurement department.

Experience or Qualifications

• Proven experience within a Buyer or similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proficient in procurement software and MS Office

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Solid understanding of supply chain processes and dynamics.

Candidates who currently are a Buyer, Strategic Buyer, Technical Buyer or Engineering Buyer would be suitable for this position.
