Maintenance Officer

The Parking Services’ Parking Infrastructure Team is responsible for the management and maintenance of district, surface and multi-storey car parks operated by Parking Services, including the city’s stock of pay and display and pay on foot machines.

We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Officer in our Maintenance Team based at Trenchard St, in the centre of Bristol. Maintenance Officer staff work Monday to Friday and 1 in 6 Saturdays. Please note that this role is not open to flexible working.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to undertake the following key duties:

• To inspect on a daily basis all revenue collection equipment and associated equipment ensuring its satisfactory operation.
• To carry out planned preventative equipment maintenance in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• To undertake any necessary repairs, replacement and refurbishment of all pay and display equipment located on-street and in off-street car parks, to ensure their satisfactory operation.
• To liaise with members of the public and maximise customer care in line with Departmental policies.

Knowledge and experience of the parking industry and local government is desirable, but not essential, along with a willingness to join a challenging, innovative, dynamic team in Parking Services.
