Health Care Assistant In Patient Unit (IPU)

As we move forward with our strategy and develop our services, we are recruiting for Band 3 Health Care Assistants to join the Inpatient Unit (IPU) Team.

If you are a dedicated and proactive Health Care Assistant with an interest in working in End-of-Life Care we would like to hear from you.

Joining the Hospice in this role will involve providing specialist palliative care for our patients and support for their families. You will also work closely with the registered nurses and the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to care.

• We operate a rotating shift pattern which includes weekend and night shifts within a flexible shift time pattern.
• Band 3 equivalent salary up to £24,336 pa FTE
• Working 37.5 hours per week

The jobholder will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.

St Peter's Hospice is a well-loved hospice that provides extensive inpatient and community services, in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Every year St Peter's Hospice makes a difference in the lives of thousands of patients and their families when it matters most.  

Many of our staff work directly with patients and their families in nursing, health care and medical jobs. Others raise money to support patient care through our chain of over 40 charity shops and our fundraising activities. We also have a significant number of staff working in varied office-based roles.

The Hospice is also a centre of educational excellence and we teach other healthcare professionals about how to care for people at the end of their lives, supporting the NHS and care homes provide end of life care.
