Contract Lawyer - Commercial Contracts

We have an urgent requirement for a Contract Lawyer with specialist knowledge in Commercial Contracts law to support one of our manufacturing clients. It will afford the opportunity to the successful candidate to further enhance their expertise in a broad range of commercial and procurement work. 

This role will be on a initial 3-6 month contract but is likely to extend. This will be a remote roll and you will be working via an Umbrella company. 

Main Duties:

As a Contract Lawyer in the team you’ll be encouraged to provide advice on: the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts including: outsourcing agreements, supplier agreements, customer terms and conditions, bespoke customer contracts, manufacturer contracts, novations and standard form templates;

• Identifying, analysing and advising on client’s needs, opportunities, risks and threats.
• Drafting and negotiating a full range of commercial contracts 
• Product offerings and proof of concepts;
• Legal developments (statutory or otherwise);
• Ensuring risks are addressed and appropriately raised, reported and shared; and training needs of the businesses we support.
• Identifying, analysing and advising on client’s needs, opportunities, risks and threats.

Any knowledge or experience advising on payments would be beneficial, but not crucial.

About You:

• At least, a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience (or have equivalent legal qualification or experience).
• Responsibility for the provision of high quality legal and commercial advice and support to relevant partners on a wide range of their needs.
• Sound legal, commercial and risk judgement and understand and build an effective Legal risk management framework.
• Thrive on challenge and be able to balance multiple competing demands through uncertainty or ambiguity.
• Succinctly, clear and confident communication, drafting and negotiation skills.
