An IT company based in Westbury-on-Tyrm, Bristol, is seeking an Administrator for a permanent, full time position to join a small, friendly team. This is an office-based role and is integral to the business. The Administrator will oversee the day-to-day running of the office, dealing with customers, primarily by email, finance tasks, as well as general office administration. This is a multi-faceted role and would suit someone who thrives on variety and responsibility.

The Administrator will have good written and oral communication, organisation and IT skills, a professional approach, initiative and a positive work ethic.

Note that the office is located on the top (second) floor with no lift.

Duties include:

Accounting

  • Invoicing, payments, monthly payroll, pensions
  • VAT Returns
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts (GBP, USD, EURO) and Credit Card
  • Dealing with HMRC processes, filing and reporting

Administration

  • Day to day office organization
  • Customer order processing
  • Shipping both to the UK and Internationally using couriers
  • Email management
  • Responsibility for stationery orders, stock and supplies
  • Stock control
  • Answering the telephone

Essential Skills:

  • Bookkeeping using SAGE
  • Managing Companies House, HMRC, and similar statutory filings
  • IT literate with a working knowledge Excel, Word
  • Clear written communication
  • The ability to manage own workload
