The role is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of dynamic team within IWR Finance Consolidation process. This role will require the successful candidate to apply professional judgement and expertise on accounting and reporting matters and look to implement improvements in our end-to-end financial reporting processes. 

The successful candidate will enjoy exercising their strong capabilities in reporting, problem solving and operational process improvement. With its central position this role is a perfect opportunity to gain visibility and insight into the financial performance of the IWR business. 

A bit about the job:

This financial reporting role sits within the IFRS consolidation team and will be managed and mentored by a Senior Finance Manager. It will include a wide variety of activities.

  • Ownership of the IWR IFRS consolidation process, including preparation of the required consolidation adjustments and intercompany and subsidiary eliminations.
  • Quarterly reporting of financial performance to the Aviva Group Finance team using Aviva’s FCCS Group reporting software.
  • Ownership and delivery of timely and insightful outputs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operation and enhancement of financial and operational controls with the aim of safeguarding both customer and shareholder interests.
  • Supporting the production of various legal entities’ Financial Statements on an annual basis. 
  • This role will support the IWR IFRS consolidation process, including submission of Group required deliverables and the preparation of IFRS Financial Statements. The successful candidate will work proactively and develop collaborative, positive relationships with stakeholders and other teams. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day decision making for processes within remit to ensure all reporting milestones are met and key controls operated effectively.

This unique role will give you the opportunity to build a broad network within Aviva as you will work with colleagues across the various IWR Reporting teams including Financial Accounting, Investment Reporting, Actuarial Reporting, as well as with colleagues within the wider business and colleagues at Group. 

This role will support the varied change agenda. Most notably to help embed our new Group Reporting system (FCCS) into business-as-usual reporting through the implementation of effective reporting processes and financial controls, and the development of supporting analytical tools. The role will also support the wider team in delivery of key projects as required.

  • Salary: Up to £53,000 (location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
