Hours: 39 hour per week
Purpose of the role:
If you are looking for a driving role with Monday to Friday family friendly daytime hours, on standard 8 hour shifts and local routes, then this would be a great opportunity for you. As a Class 2 Driver/Loader you will be driving the company vehicle safely, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials according to the agreed customer requirements, Bristol Waste Company procedure and all external legal requirements.
Essential requirements for the role:
- Must hold a Cass 2 licence, CPC and Digital Drivers Card
- Experience or ability to undertake regular vehicle checks including oil, water and battery levels
- Experience or ability to demonstrate suitability for physical work involving pushing/pulling waste bins and lifting recycling boxes up to 25kg
- The ability to understand and complete daily defect sheets
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and to use own initiative
- The ability to work well within a small team
- The ability to use IT systems
