Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk / Assistant Accountant - Summary of the Role:

The primary purpose of this job is to assist in the day to day financial activities of the business and manage the purchase ledger from start to finish.

We are a growing finance team with various levels of experience and qualifications, with opportunity to grow and develop within the team.

Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk / Assistant Accountant - The Successful Applicant:

* Previous experience working within finance teams and purchase ledger

* Adaptability and ability to thrive in a rapidly growing and changing environment

* Excellent numeracy skills required along with a keen eye for detail

* Hands on approach

* Proactive approach to work, including issue resolution

* Good excel skills

* Experience of COINS ERP system would be advantageous

Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk / Assistant Accountant - Responsibilities:

* Entering invoices onto COINS finance system, reconciling invoices to delivery tickets, matching invoices against purchase orders

* Dealing with invoice queries and liaising with suppliers

* New supplier setup and supplier statement reconciliation

* Ensuring that employee expenses are received and processed in line with the company expenses policy

* Reconciling Credit Card transactions to the statements

* Reconciling bank accounts

* Assisting with monthly VAT and CIS returns

* Other duties as required by the Finance Manager
