Technical Coordinator - Summary of the Role:

Due to continued growth and expansion across the Western Region, they are now looking to further strengthen their Technical team with the addition of an experienced Technical Coordinator, reporting to the Head of department.

Technical Coordinator​​​​​​​ - The Successful Applicant:

* Good Technical Knowledge of house construction

* Previous experience as a Technical Coordinator or similar role

* Good knowledge of the NHBC and Building Regulations

* Experience as a Technical Coordinator with a residential developer

* Understanding of the Planning System

* Good communicator.

* Be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role in a quality focused /design led house building company

Technical Coordinator​​​​​​​ - Responsibilities:

* Develop the specification for the project with liaison with the Line manager which will inform the design process. This will involve collating the available information from the Client, Development Partners and any relevant Housing Association where relevant

* Liaise with the Client / Sales Team to maximise the potential of all saleable units and lock down the general arrangements at an early stage to allow design to progress.

* Facilitate the design process by instructing the necessary surveys and investigations. Providing timely information from pre-commencement through to construction to facilitate the Commercial & Construction teams to progress

* Scope, tender & appoint the necessary design consultants (architects, engineers, SAPs, Code, design from sub-contractors) whether internal and external and co-ordinate and manage their timely response in line with the Design Programme

* Arrange the necessary utilities for both permanent works and also temporary site set up.

* Ensure appointments and collateral warranties are in the form stipulated by our Funder.

* Develop and manage the Information Release Schedule and draw together the various threads of the project design liaising with the Line manager to ensure that the project design is progressing in line with the overall project programme.

* Manage the Planning Conditions discharge for each project.

* Manage all section agreements, design submission and adoptions.

* Maintain and issue all up to date drawings promptly, ensuring that the project folder is kept current at all times.

* Liaise with the Concept Architect or Development Partner where necessary to ensure that they the design development stays true to their vision.

* Oversee the preparation of the Brochure and Conveyance Plans and Sales Area drawings.

* Identify opportunities and risks in the design in terms of the cost, complexity, robustness and propose viable solutions / alternatives.

* Respond to site queries and resolve technical/ construction issues

* Reporting to and working closely with the relevant Line manager across approximately 3 projects at various stages
