GBA Services is a family business, providing logistic solutions for our customers whether that be by road, sea or air. We are currently located in 18 sites throughout the UK and Europe and have seen massive growth over the last year. As a result of this growth we are looking for an experienced Logistics Depot Manager to join our growing business to lead on a wide variety of tasks relating to managing, supervising and coordinating fleet management related activities and general compliance.

Manage the day to day running of the Depot

Overall responsibility for fleet management

Full P&L Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with safety rules and regulations

Strong knowledge of Transport legislation, working time directive and taco compliance

Be an excellent role model in how you look after and liaise with our customers, both internal and external.

To manage, motivate and develop employees to maximise their potential. This will include performance appraisals and identifying training needs where appropriate.

To organise staff rotas,monitor timekeeping, chair staff disciplinary & grievances through the company procedure and manage any competency issues.

Set financial targets and where appropriate make recommendations on improvements and streamlining the processes.

You will have responsibility for increasing profitability, customer service and developing existing and new relationships with customers and subcontractors.

You must have previous experience in working within the Transport Industry and must be experienced in providing quotations and negotiating costs with carriers.

Essential qualities/ qualifications-

CPC

IOSH/ NEBOSH (Health and safety)

Fleet Management

Highly skilled in compliance

Team management

Profit and loss management

Desirable qualities/ qualifications-

Project Management

This is an exciting, challenging and demanding role and you will need to be able to multitask, prioritise your own workload and communicate effectively. We use a range of Microsoft products throughout the business, so a good working knowledge is definitely an advantage.
