SkyBlue are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a permanent basis in Gloucester for our client a leading UK company who provide construction and infrastructure services to the private and public sector. You will have commercial experience in construction, property maintenance or a similar field. Responsible for providing commercial

support to regional teams.

Duties will include but won't be limited to:

* Assist Commercial Managers with dispute avoidance and any dispute resolution

* Deliver Change Management in accordance with NEC3 term Service Contract ensuring timescales are met by all relevant stakeholders

* Management and resolution of queries submitted by Supply Chain

* Maintain commercial control to enable planned milestone payments are achieved

* Monitor and review Supply Chain performance

* Manage supplier payments in line with contractual and company policy

* Assist in the development and implementation of commercial risk management procedures

* Attend meetings, provide reports and liaise with all stakeholders on commercial matters

* Assist Commercial & Risk Manager in preparing dispute avoidance strategy and any dispute resolution aswell as monitoring and presenting monthly cost reports as required to high level of accuracy

* Provide cost advice and support to Additional Services

* Ensure NEC3 contract processes and procedures are adhered to at all times, advising and supporting as required

* Attend Risk Meetings, review risk registers and follow risk management processes

* Identify business priorities and to plan work effectively, by building controls and milestones into plans and programmes

* Explore future possibilities and opportunities for improvement, support change initiatives and identify alternative solutions

* Support the teams by communicating effectively, providing commercial guidance to stakeholders, instill confidence in others to make their own decisions. Provide advice and guidance to staff in the preparation and presentation of works proposals, reviews and updates

* Obtain commitment from others by persuading, convincing and negotiation. Manage stakeholders utilising experience to negotiate in line with business goal requirements

Essential Requirements:

* Qualified to HND/Foundation Degree level in Quantity Surveying or significant equivalent experience

* Commercial experience in construction, property maintenance or related field including: Developing cost models, Risk Analysis & Management, Preparation of work proposals/tenders, Dispute resolution, Excellent working knowledge of commercial processes, Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and Fraud prevention

* Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships and a collaborative working environment

* Health & Safety Awareness Training

Desirable Requirements:

* Experience of operating in either a military environment or on complex, multi- site operations

* Ability and willingness to travel

* Familiarity of Regional Prime and NEC3 contracting and requirements

* Membership of Professional Body
