Job Description

Design & Technology Teacher Required in Bristol - October 2018

We are looking for a qualified teacher of Design & Technology to teach Design & Technology at a successful Secondary school in Bristol from October 2018. This is a full-time Design & Technology teaching role as part of a long-term absence, however there is the potential for this role t be part-time for the right candidate.

The role is expected to finish in July 2019 and the school welcomes applicants from NQTs as well as more experienced teachers of Design & technology. The role is predominantly to teach Engineering and Product Design and consists of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
To be considered for this role you must:
*Hold QTS status
*Have a thorough and in-depth knowledge of the D&T curriculum across all Key Stage 3 and 4.
*Have the ability to work collaboratively within a well-established, supportive and dynamic Technology Department

The school is a large secondary school with just over 1300 pupils on roll and a growing Sixth Form. They place a lot of emphasis on relationships between the staff and students alike and offer a high level of support to their staff. You will also benefit from an incredibly well structured support team within the school. The department is well established, organised and will offer a high level of support to all of its department members.
