Quantity Surveyor, Mechanical and Electrical Building Services required. M&E Project Surveyor sought to join a construction management business delivering various projects for the MoD. Formed in 2006, the business will be responsible for delivering new and refurbished living and working accommodation for the MoD across the region with a diverse range of projects from living quarters through to Leisure Facilities, Mess Halls, etc. Fancy undertaking the construction phase of one of the largest building programmes in the South? We're seeking an enthusiastic, energetic Quantity Surveyor with mechanical and electrical building service experience with a desire to deliver the best.

Your new role:

* We are seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveyor ideally having experience working within a main contractor, this however is not essential. The appointed QS will be based at project sites including Tidworth, Larkhill, Perham Down, Bulford and Aldershot. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be accountable to the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager for commercial and contractual aspects of the assigned project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Approve account measurements and pricing and rating variations
* Produce applications for payment, strategy documentation and value enhancement plans
* Preparation of accurate and prudent cost /value analysis
* Deliver operational, commercial and contractual advice
* Develop, implement and review commercial practices across projects
* Create revenue forecasts and establish target costs
* Advise budget managers and holders on financial planning, payment, contractual and professional matters
* Procure subcontractors and key materials
* Generate monthly valuations and applications for payment
* Interim payment and final account agreement of sub-contracts
* Maintenance of cost information.
* Drafting of contractual correspondence

Skills and Experience:

* Experience working in technical, commercial, construction environment
* Likely to have 2-5 years business experience, be a minimum part- qualified professional, and have a Certificate Level of Qualification as a minimum
* Experience working with a Main Contractor
