The Company:

Our client is a leading global service company specialising in the delivery of subsea solutions to the renewables and hydrocarbon industries. They provide bespoke solutions to clients, from feasibility through to installation and operation.

The Job:

On behalf of our client we are seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager with offshore / marine experience. This role is reporting into the Managing Director.

Duties will include:

* To direct, manage and facilitate business development, sales and marketing within the offshore & marine industry
* To establish and implement business development, sales and marketing strategies that increase market share, and identify and create new business opportunities.
* To deliver divisional growth in turnover and profit through the sale of products and services through personal contacts, company contacts, agents and distributors.
* Develop improvements, concepts and new product and service ideas by interfacing with clients; suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, academia, consultants and other stakeholders.
* Cooperates directly with other line managers
* Leads, directs and controls all business development, sales and marketing.
* To establish and manage all systems and processes for business development, sales and marketing.
* To manage the preparation of required materials, publications, presentations, brochures and other required information.
* To facilitate and participate in external and client business development arrangements and meetings, including conferences, workshops, symposiums and other events.
* Liaise with external marketing and public relations agency in the delivery of marketing and public relations' objectives.
* Liaise with internal departments in order to prepare and submit prequalification and tenders.
* Determine price based on customer, supplier and competitive factors.
* Manage ongoing leads, and existing client relationships
* Develop appropriate tools, templates and databases to support the sales process.
* Develop a sales plan to describe strategy, targets, resources, forecasts and activities with specific detail on how objectives can be achieved through sales.
* Prepare analytical plans for potential growth opportunities for new markets, products and services.

The Person:

For this role our client is looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

* Survey or Construction Engineering degree or other relevant and recognised qualification
* A strong offshore operations, sales and business development background is essential.
* Ability to prioritise workloads, coordinate and organise all business development, sales and marketing tasks.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with clients, sales/marketing teams, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, agents, distributors as well as internal staff and contractors.
* Ability to work effectively with all documentation in conjunction with others.
* Ability to work on one's own initiative and as part of a fast moving, dynamic team.
* Ability to work under pressure, motivate and drive continuous improvement and new ways of working
* Be willing to travel in-country and overseas as may be required from time to time to meet the needs of the business

The Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm, 40 hours per week

The Location: Central Bristol, with travel

The Salary: £40,000
