The Job:

We are delighted to be supporting our client in their search for a Team Assistant & Legal Secretary for their operation in Central Bristol on a permanent basis in term Legal, Advisory and Regulatory department. Working in a busy office and demanding team within their Commercial Law team which is a very busy team and able to co-ordinate and be confident with the team you support. This role will suit someone who is confident working in a busy environment and has previous experience of working within a secretarial / supportive team.

Your role is to provide lawyers with the administrative support they need to provide seamless legal services to clients and help them maximise the amount of time they are able to spend on fee-earning tasks.

Manage diaries, ensuring they are up to date and reminding lawyers of meetings etc on a daily basis.

Arrange meetings, book conference rooms, refreshments, check rooms prior to meetings etc and liaise with other attendees.

Organise travel arrangements

Arrange for files to be opened and closed

Deal with basic client queries and general administration.

Arrange client meetings.

Document production

Check correspondence, attachments, documents, reports, presentations, faxes etc produced by the Document Production team before they are passed to the relevant lawyer and undertake basic/minor amendments where appropriate.

Type urgent/short/confidential correspondence and emails.

Produce and maintain Excel spreadsheets as required.

Assist lawyers in the billing and credit control.

The Person:

For this role our client is looking for someone who should have or be:

Accurate typing speed of at least 60 words per minute.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint

Excellent telephone manner

Excellent communication, organisational and team skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic.

The Benefits:

Pension, 20 days holiday plus 1 extra day for each years' service, death in service

Standard working hours will be 9.00am - 5.30pm
