Job Title: Senior IT Partner Analyst

Location Bristol or London ***Driving Licence Essential***


* The role ensures the vendors delivery of agreed levels of service and quality at best cost.

* The role holder will control the demand requirements placed upon the key IT vendors and analysing vendor performance.

* Held to account for:

* The performance of BT-IT vendors

* Managing and providing the evidence that results in compliance of the Vendor against the various policies and controls laid out by BT

* Efficient operation by the business and the vendor of processes that enable effective vendor engagement

Key accountabilities

Accountable for the following on behalf of IT:

Vendor Selection

* Support the process of contracting with new Vendors, assisting to negotiate best commercial and operational deals through the provision and analysis of relevant data.
Performance Management

* Production of Management Information for the creation of exec level reporting on Vendor Performance

* Ensuring Vendor performance against SLA's through the running of regular Service Quality Reviews, instigating Service Improvement Plans where appropriate.

* Act as initial point of escalation for all contract and governance issues.

* Enabling the acquisition of new products and services from vendors. Driving standardisation and elimination of complexity of solutions and processes.

* Management of the Demand Management process ensuring the appropriate use of resources and timely delivery, supported by accurate reporting.

* Assessment and validation of quotes received from Vendor


* Work with Finance and Procurement to ensure that all the necessary data is available to enable timely validation of costs/invoices, and resolve issues arising.
A thorough understanding of the financial construct of the contracts and the current financial position (spend, risks, opportunities, constraints) of any given contract Core competencies, knowledge and experience

* An individual who thinks logically and able to blend technical, operational and commercial considerations in their decision making.

* Strong communication and senior stakeholder management skills.

* A knowledge of relevant technologies and the BT IT estate and modern software engineering practices and toolsets.

* Able to turn complex messages into effective and succinct communications.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

* Expert in Excel, business objects (or other MI package) for Performance reporting focused activities

* Proactively keeps up to date on modern software engineering and design practices and latest thinking.

* ITIL qualification ideal.

* Technical background and Computing qualification idea

Candidates must provide evidence of the key skills listed below on their CV:

* Performance Management of Vendors

* Production of Management Information to drive the performance of vendors

* Facilitation of vendor deliver via management of high volume of vendor demand

* Able to understand and negotiate key areas of an IT contract with a vendor

* Budget Management - financial reconciliation capex and opex
