Service Engineer Role and Responsibilities: Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment in client's homes and in house.

Multiple service jobs daily, some of which can be heavy and may include beds etc

Driving a large van and completing fully all of the mandatory vehicle checks on a daily basis including cleanliness inside and out Identifying the stock to be on the van and loading equipment in the van in a safe manner and strapping down where appropriate

Providing polite, empathetic and client focused service, taking into account that clients may be bereaved, angry or vulnerable and some houses may be in a poor state of repair or dirty

Understanding and demonstrating the correct functionality and safe installation of items, identifying repair and replace and damaged or faulty stock

Being able to identify and report immediately any perceived safeguarding issues to your line manager

Being on call on a rotational basis receiving enhanced allowance during this period.

Ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations, wearing company uniform as specified.

Essential and Required Skills:

Ability to show empathy, patience and remain calm during client visit, adopt a positive attitude to difficult situations and working under pressure Physically capable due to the nature of the work, as heavy lifting and a lot of manual handling is involved

Having a passion for repairs and engineering, willing to learn

Ability to work autonomously and using your own initiative

Targets driven individual

Full driving licence, comfortable driving a large van safely

Please note, all successful applicants will be required to pass a DBS check, and be continuously DBS checked every 2 years.
