About the Role
Working with the Pathway Manager for Music, and other peers, the successful applicant will lead and inspire the next generation of music talent through their planning and delivery of the music curriculum. The role includes the marking and assessment of student projects, setting high expectations and motivating our students to be the best that they can be. You will be a role model, providing our students with innovative, practical and employment-led training.
You will collaborate with others to share best practices and ensure that our learners get the highest quality experience. You will work amongst experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team. Working at Access Creative College means working with learners who are engaged and enthusiastic about the education they are gaining.
About You
You will have performance (solo or band) and technology (Logic Pro, etc) skills; these are essential. Desirable skills will include an understanding of music theory, the ability to play an instrument and experience in the music industry.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills which will help you to effectively manage the delivery of high-quality lessons and Schemes of Work and to organise internal and external examination/assessment-related administration including the moderation and verification of coursework and internal course assessments.
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area, and maths and English qualifications at level 2 (GCSE), Grade 5/C, or above.
A teaching qualification is highly desirable but if you don’t have one, we will arrange for you to get one and provide you with time to study!
No candidate will meet every single desired qualification. If your experience looks a little different from what we've identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we'd love to learn more about you.
Diversity and open expression are fundamental to creativity. We are committed to promoting a culture of diversity and inclusivity for all our employees and potential employees. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
