We now seek to recruit two Apprentices to support to join existing teams on our new contract maintaining over 400 sites across Bath and Bristol. Most importantly, you will be joining a company that can offer valuable career prospects and believes in investing in its people.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Grass cutting.
- Hedge cutting.
- Bedding display and maintenance.
- Shrub bed maintenance.
- Machinery maintenance.
- Weeding.
- Sports pitch marking.
- Bowls and cricket pitch maintenance.
Desired skills and Qualities
- Enthusiastic, hard working and enjoys working outdoors.
- Experience in grounds maintenance would be an advantage but not essential as a full training schedule and apprentice scheme is provided.
- A full clean UK driving licence is desirable as operatives may be required to operative ride-on mowers and drive company vehicles/tow trailers.
- A high level of initiative and forward-thinking attitude.
- Flexible approach to duties.

Desired qualifications
- GCSE’s, or equivalents in maths and English are desired but not essential.
Future prospects
- Permanent Full-Time roles and Career Progression.
- We have a number of specialist Arboriculture contracts requiring teams of Arborists, Senior Arborists and Managers.
Training:
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative Apprenticeship.
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
- You will also need to achieve Level 3 award in Emergency First Aid and Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides Guidance or Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides before undertaking the End Point Assessment.
