Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week (Working hours 07:00-15:30)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Technical Officer/Cleaner - Band 2.

This is an entry level position and the last post holders have been promoted internally.  

Full training will be given for the post.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake specialist cleaning of the Aseptic and Non-Sterile Unit- requiring a 7am start of working day.
  • Be involved in the preparation of non-sterile medicines following set procedures.
  • Complete over-labelling of medicines.
  • Be involved in stock checks.
  • Be responsible for goods receiving of medicines.
  • Have an opportunity to learn about Good Manufacturing Practice.

Applicants must have:

  • Maths and English at Grade C.
  • Have an aptitude for practical work.
  • Be able to work methodically and accurately.
  • Perform effectively under pressure.
  • Have an excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or alone.
