Learning Support Assistants Bristol Grade 7, scale points 8 to 11

We are expanding our Learning Support team and require experienced Learning Support Assistants to join us.

You will work with children with EHCPs or requiring SEND Support, either 1:1 or in groups. You will need experience of working with children with a range of SEND, including communication and interaction needs, learning difficulties, social and emotional needs or physical disabilities at Key Stage 2, both within the classroom and on individual or group interventions.

You will liaise with class teachers in setting targets and planning activities, and will be expected to use your knowledge and experience to record progress and adapt lessons if need be. You will need to understand and demonstrate the importance of record keeping for monitoring progress and communication with teachers and parents.

The posts are offered for a fixed term to 31 August 2025 as they are dependent on direct funding allocations.

Hours: Part-time 31.25 hours per week, 8:40am to 3:40pm, (with 30 minute lunch break) term time, plus 5 in-service days

Salary: £25,992 - £27,269 (pay award pending) per annum, pro-rated
