This role would be ideal for anyone currently working in the travel industry as a travel consultant and looking to make their first steps into the world of product focusing on India. In depth experience and knowledge of travel within India is a must. This exciting role plays an important part in the research and development of our India travel product, ensuring that everything we sell is well-considered and can deliver the high-quality trips our customers would expect.
Key responsibilities:
- Load and maintain accuracy of product and itineraries in our internal product database.
- Maintain the client documentation framework including destination guides, consulting with other departments to produce additional client facing resources as required.
- Maintain strong relationships with our ground handlers to ensure scope and quality of product offering and customer experience.
- Proactively research new product opportunities and planning as required, attending webinars to stay abreast of recent developments under the guidance of the product manager.
- Assist Global PR and Trade Managers with various duties including the creation and coordination of itineraries for press and agent trips to India.
What we are looking for from you:
- In depth experience and knowledge of travel within India.
- A meaningful level of experience within a sales or product role within the travel industry.
- A cultured understanding as to what makes exciting, commercially viable product.
- Previous experience building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to manage a varied and complex workload independently, prioritising appropriately and approaching others for support when needed.
- Excellent communication skills - able to devise content that informs, inspires, excites, and engages, as well as being comfortable creating and presenting information to a range of audiences.
- Strong organisational skills and a respect for process within the function.
- Confident writing skills, following brand guidelines, to best showcase our product offering through hotel and experience descriptions.
