Kitchen Production Manager

IKEA Bristol would like to welcome a passionate Kitchen Production Manager to our Team.

We seek an individual like you to assist in providing a taste of Sweden through high-quality, sustainable food, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will join a dedicated and amiable team, committed to enhancing everyday life for many people, while adapting to change with a solution-focused approach. The role is set in a highly dynamic environment, demanding multitasking abilities, including food preparation, service, and frequent heavy lifting.

Additionally, you should possess robust leadership experience, with over three years of leading a sizable team of around 20 or more colleagues. While a background in food is not necessary, it is preferable for the ideal candidate to have experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

What we offer:

1. This role offers a starting salary of £30,000 based on competence, per annum.
2. 39-hour a week contract working 5 days per week and every alternate weekend off
3. We operate 7 days a week and so full availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends is essential.
4. Flexibility on availability to be discussed during interviews.

Who you are

To ensure a great customer experience for the many people, you will be pragmatic, organised and driven, with strong leadership skills. Furthermore, you will have an ability to prioritise when working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

1. You have an advanced knowledge of food production and food safety and have experience of working in a retail environment and food service business.
2. You are passionate in ensuring the food served is of high quality.
3. You have experience of and enjoy leading and developing a team.

Your Day to Day

1. Ensuring the operations of all food areas in the IKEA store operate in accordance with IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements and other relevant legislation.
2. Promoting a safety-first culture where co-workers are encouraged to raise and discuss concerns and solutions.
3. Securing an irresistible food offer by ensuring we secure quality at all times as well as an appealing range presentation.
4. Utilising everyday commercial opportunities to grow sales and profitability.
5. Ensuring that our customers are always in focus, having a daily dialogue with them and learning from and acting on their feedback.
6. Ensuring the kitchen area is well maintained and that daily work routines are in place and followed in all daily work.
