Job Title: Financial Business Partner
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Due to retirement, our client is looking for a Financial Business Partner to join their team, a hybrid role working from their Head office in Swindon.
This is a pivotal role both within the finance function and across the company as a whole.
You will be the finance lead responsible for supporting the Operations function in developing and executing short-, medium- and long-term strategic plans across the operational cost base, which covers all depot sites and related head office cost centres.
The performance of this cost base is central to driving overall Company profitability.
The role requires best in class financial business partnering, including forecasting and business planning, financial results analysis and insight and supporting all financial aspects of operational decision making, cost management and investment appraisals.
The role reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Control and business partners the Operations Director and Operations Executive team. There is regular and direct interaction with both the CFO and CEO, such is the importance of this role within the company.
About the role:
Gaining and maintaining a deep understanding of the strategic aims and the Operations to ensure provision of best in class finance support.
Attending weekly and monthly Operations function meetings, leading monthly financial results review and providing project and decision-making support.
Supporting development and delivery of cost efficiency programmes which are integral to profit delivery of our client's financial result.
Building business cases and managing post implementation reviews for Network plans and capital investment.
Production of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and long term business plans
Providing analytical support, and insight to Operations performance to both Operations and Finance.
Developing and maintaining relationships with the executive and senior leadership team
Using excellent organisation and planning capabilities to ensure promises are delivered and deadlines are met without any compromise to quality of output.
