The School of Biological Sciences is seeking to appoint a Pathway 3 Lecturer (grade K), as the operational lead of our highly successful Bioinformatics taught Masters programme.
What will you be doing?
We are seeking an energetic and committed teacher who will oversee teaching on several units in the programme, devise and supervise research projects, manage the day-to-day administration, and deliver tutoring and mentoring to the student cohort. You will play a key role in the delivery and evaluation of new units for the course, including modernizing the course to accommodate new developments in the broad field of bioinformatics and computational biology. You will also be expected to develop your teaching skills and materials and be willing to innovate and undertake training as required. You will have a PhD in bioinformatics or a related scientific area (e.g., phylogenetics, comparative genomics).
