In addition, we welcome applications from those seeking flexible or agile working arrangements and can be discussed at the application stage.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an effective individual to become part of our team that delivers real change to people’s lives. You will deal with a wide range of property clients from renewable energy clients, highway authorities, the Environment Agency and utility companies. Your work each day will vary, but centre around landowner and occupier engagement both in and out of the office, along with client reporting. You would be a key member of the teams progressing the infrastructure improvements that will serve the UK over the coming decades. This could include securing consent for survey access across third party land, negotiating lease events, acquiring land and buildings, negotiating business relocations, asset acquisitions and disposals, asset management, valuations and contributing to strategic land acquisition reports, including site inspections across the Southwest and Wales.

You will gain experience in some specialised and sought-after skills including land assembly negotiations and compulsory purchase which are in short supply in the market. Our in-house Academy training course will give you a head start with over 20 hours of CPD. Clients are at the heart of what we do, so ensuring you develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients is essential, this includes attending client meetings and preparing communications and reports.

What will it take to be successful?

Ideally you will have a RICS accredited degree, however we do welcome applications from candidates with non-accredited degrees and other relevant qualifications. Experience within a real estate across the rural, commercial or energy sectors gained through work experience or placements will be an advantage. It is essential that you have a full driving license as regular travel is required.

Our promise to you

From day one of our scheme, you will be invested in. We offer a structured training programme, an APC supervisor or counsellor, and regular assessments to ensure you achieve the full level of competency required for your APC. In addition, we pay your APC registration fee and your first APC final assessment and offer up to five days study leave.

  • Formal APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) training.
  • RICS Counsellors and Mentors to help with both work and study.
  • A supportive social environment.
  • Exposure to multiple Sectors and rotation opportunities within the infrastructure team.
  • Regular CPD (Continued Professional Development) opportunities.
  • Ongoing & personalised support from industry specialists.
  • Gaining real work experience.
