Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity as a Construction Team Leader in our Civils Construction team.
Our team provides a vital in-house design and build service that helps to ensure we effectively construct and maintain our water and sewerage assets.
What you'll do
As a Construction Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading operatives in carrying out construction-related site activities, including excavation, pipe-laying, operating plant, general groundworks and concreting.
You will do this as instructed by the site management team to ensure that all works are completed and compliant with company policies and procedures.
You will also attend and participate in team briefs, safety updates and workplace communications to ensure the works are carried out safely and to the best possible standard.
You will be working with a great team which works outdoors in all weathers and deals with different challenges every day, providing a vital service to our client.
What you'll need
It would be beneficial for you to have undergone the following training:
You will also have an understanding of construction drawings, as well as experience leading others and slinger signaller/banksman experience.
Additionally, you will have great communication skills, a positive, can-do attitude and be able to motivate and encourage our operatives to be the best they can be.
As safety is key for us, you act as an ambassador for all things health, safety and wellbeing related.
These roles are site-based and we have (often remove) sites all around our region so you will need to be willing to travel and hold a valid driving licence.
