Why Bristol City Council?
At Bristol City Council, we go that extra mile for our people; we offer a work environment which is fast moving and supportive, giving you the chance to use your skills and develop new ones within a high-profile organisation. For the majority of our roles, hybrid working arrangements are available, giving teams the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice – mixing both home and office working.
Join us and you will receive an excellent rewards package including flexible hybrid working and flexitime, membership of the Local Government Pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance. In addition, you’ll be working in a supportive environment where you’ll have the chance to make Bristol a better place and contribute to its future.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Procurement & Contract Management Service for a Procurement Specialist to join our team. We have a vacancy within the Peoples Category specifically supporting our internal stakeholders within Adults and Communities, Childrens and Education and Public Health; however, a multi disciplined approach is required.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced procurement professional to join Bristol City Council, a diverse and ambitious organisation with a £1bn+ p.a. revenue budget and £1bn capital programme.
The role and key responsibilities
You will provide professional, legally compliant advice and support leading to robust procurement processes and commercial outcomes for a designated category which allows the achievement of value for money, high stakeholder satisfaction and supports the delivery of the Council’s objectives.
You will be used to working in a fast-paced environment where every day is different, and you’ll need to be able to work flexibly to changing priorities.
