SEN Teaching Assistant – Fixed term

Ashton Gate Primary School is a 4 form entry school on two sites, with Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 are based at the Ashton Gate Road site. Key Stage 2 are based at the Upton Road site. Ashton Gate is an outstanding (Ofsted March 2024) and forward-looking school, with a successful, hardworking team who get on well. The children are well-behaved, eager to learn and open to new ideas. We have very supportive parents who value creativity in the curriculum.

The Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract. This role will involve working with a number of SEND children across KS2, under the direction of the class teachers and SENCO. Experience of working with children with complex needs such as Downs Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and having good understanding of effective strategies for children presenting with challenging behaviour is essential.

Salary: Grade 7 (£24,702 to £25,979pa pro rata).

Hours: 30 hours per week, 8.45am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Required from 6th January 2025 to 31st August 2025.
