Support Worker

Would you like to join our friendly team of support workers? Bristol Outreach is one of our services in the South West, where we support autistic adults in their homes, educational settings, and local communities. Our aim is to help them develop skills that enhance their health and well-being, foster community inclusion, and promote greater independence. Please note that for this role, having a valid driver’s license and access to a car for work is essential. We currently have a fixed term position available with a potential to become permanent. 

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, and will include evening and weekend working.

This advert is for a part-time position 16 Hours. The salary for this position is £9,518.08 per annum. This is a fixed term contract.

The role includes:

• Helping individuals achieve independence and personal goals
• Supporting and transporting individuals to integrate into their community
• Develop individuals home making skills and personal chores

We need you to be: Resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. Being a support worker takes passion, patience and commitment. But working with autistic people gives so much more in return.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is essential.

To protect our autistic adults, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
