The role
As a SharePoint Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working for the SharePoint Lead within Digital Solutions, you will provide support, implementation and continuous reviews across our collaborative portal services.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for workings with some of Babcock’s most exciting customers, supporting the deployments of IT Portals Online across the organisation.
- Assist in the administration of SharePoint and Oracle WebCenter Sites and the data contained within.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and other working practices within SharePoint.
- Provide updates and recommendations to the SharePoint Lead and support implementation of any improvement actions.
- Proactively identify opportunities for further use of SharePoint within the business, championing its use and capabilities
- Develop and maintain an excellent working knowledge of SharePoint and other collaborative portal services.
- Management of data
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-4 days in the office/onsite and 1-3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the SharePoint Administrator:
- Experience of configuring sites, document libraries and lists within Microsoft SharePoint.
- A detailed understanding of Microsoft Active Directory structure with an emphasis on permissions.
- Experience with MS Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Some exposure to scripting languages.
- Ability to operate within a remote team, build relationships across the organisation and be self-managed to deliver outcomes.
- A willingness to learn and develop a career within an IT Based environment.
