An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced an energetic nursery Room Supervisor to join our team at our Lyde Green Nursery in Emersons Green, Bristol.
As a Pre-School Room Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of shaping the educational journey of our preschoolers, using our unique and innovative curriculum “Where Children Shine”. You will lead a well-established team in delivering high-quality care and education, with a focus on promoting school readiness and fostering a love for learning. This role offers exciting career development opportunities, with the potential to progress to the position of 3rd in charge within our Nursery.
Your roles and responsibilities as Room Supervisor would include –
Performance

- Supporting the effective running on the nursery by being organised, and have the ability to plan and prioritise your work.
- Being positive, confident and honest.
- Having great initiative and a “can do” attitude.
- Knowing and upholding our policies, procedures and established working practices.
- Holding a recognised level 3 qualification in childcare minimum, ideally level 6.
- Supporting, mentoring and coaching colleagues, through induction, supervision and appraisal.
Outstanding Childcare
- Proven experience working in a preschool setting, ideally with school experience.
- Being a “key person” for a group of children, ensuring that their care and development needs are being met at all times.
- Using our unique “Where Children Shine” curriculum to observe, plan and assess children’s learning opportunities.
- Understanding and implementing safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirement policies and practices.
- Leading the quality delivery in your allocated room.
Working with Others
- Lead a large room capacity of up to 48 children, ensuring a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment at all times.
- Be a dedicated team player, and valuing the experience and skills of your colleagues.
- Continually striving to work together to deliver thee very best care and education for the children.
- Supporting colleagues with empathy and care.
- Lead by example, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
