Bristol Wellbeing College provides an extensive programme of interactive, psychoeducational, recovery focussed courses to adults receiving support in both primary and secondary mental health care. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual experienced in education and mental health provision to join our friendly and supportive team. Our material is written and developed in collaboration with our learners, as experts by experience, and seeks to enable people to take control of their mental wellbeing by learning tools, skills and strategies. We aim to empower people to develop hope, meaningful relationships, autonomy, and resilience, to seek opportunity and fulfilment. Year on year independent analysis shows engagement can result in significant improvements in mental wellbeing and psychological functioning.

About the Role
You will:
- write, develop and deliver face to face sessions in community venues across Bristol and live online sessions.
- contribute to our learner led programme, Bristol Wellbeing College STAR Group (Shaping, Teaching and Responding); and develop self-directed programmes, overseen by the Senior Tutor.
- contribute to collaborative focus groups, co-production and co-delivery between learners, colleagues and professionals.
- facilitate peer support between clients to develop skills in co-production and delivery.
- maintain Bristol Wellbeing College values, qualities and standards.
- work with colleagues to encourage a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion.
- keep and manage organisational reporting systems.
- support and supervise volunteers.
- undertake administrative support in the College, as demands dictate.
Essential Skills
To apply for this role, you will
- be an experienced teacher, tutor or trainer, ideally in the mental health sector.
- have related qualifications (eg, PGCE, PCET, QTS, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS), or in the process of gaining these.
- have experience working in a mental health provision.
- know how to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- understand the barriers and challenges of managing mental ill-health.
- be experienced in collaborative working and coproduction.
- be experienced and competent at using MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience in database use an advantage.
- be experienced and competent at creating learning materials and PowerPoint presentations.
- have a current, full driving licence and access to appropriate motorised vehicular transport (such as a car, motorbike or moped).
