Relief Logistics Security Officer

Hours: 42 hours – working as a relief officer (coving different sites)

Mitie is looking for Distribution security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe working environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for all colleagues, contractors, and visitors at Sainsbury's (insert depot name) depot.

It is preferred that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history.

SIA licence training can be provided.

Main duties:

• To deliver industry leading customer service.
• To conduct patrols of the depot.
• To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
• Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the depot.
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
• Liaise with the depot management teams.
• To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices.
• To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager.
• To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime.
• Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed.
• Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (RDC ONLY).
• Must have reasonable level of PC skills.
