Lead Paramedic

Are you an experienced HCPC Registered Paramedic looking for a new clinical leadership challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Paramedic to join our team in various bases across the South West. Working a 4 on 4 off rota, you will complete 12 hour shifts on frontline 999 emergency ambulances.

In addition, you will be responsible for completing equipment audits, liaising with our Clinical Leads and Logistics Services in order to ensure that minimum kit levels are maintained. As a registered Paramedic, you will also hold mentoring duties, overseeing the practice placement of Student Paramedics, AAPs and Apprentice Emergency Care Assistants.

Main duties of the job

You will carry out allocated operational duties in line with the role and responsibilities, supporting the provision of clinical social and holistic care to patients in a pre-hospital environment, safely and within appropriate level of training and competency.

Responding to emergency and urgent calls, delivering high quality and effective pre-hospital care. This will include 999 emergencies, inter-hospital transport and a range of other business related activities.

Carry out assessment, care, treatment and transportation of patients as an operational practitioner.

You will be the vital link between our HQ and the remote station operation, ensuring stock levels are maintained, staff requests are raised and you will provide a key part in welcoming and mentoring new staff members.

Salary (Based on 40 Hour contracts): £51,888.80

Salary (Based on 42 hours), 4 on 4 off rota: £53,747.20
