We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Independent living support worker to join our college community.

About your role:

Our Independence Training Facilities train students with learning difficulties and disabilities who are attending College study programmes to live independent lives.?You will be bringing your residential experience to this role, working closely with the Colleges teaching and Additional Learning Support teams. 

You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excelling working relationships with colleagues, students and stakeholders both internally and externally. 

As an Independent Living Support Worker, you will work as part of a team to promote a positive experience and support students to work towards the “Preparing for Adulthood” outcomes;

The vacancy is for 12 hours a week role working during the college term times for 38 weeks of the year on the following shift pattern;

  • Sunday 16:00 – 22:30
  • Monday 17:00 – 22:30

You will have the opportunity to carry out sleep-ins (22:00 – 06:30) which are paid in addition to your salary at the Real Living Wage. You will be automatically be enrolled into the centres sleep-in rota (1 sleep-in per fortnight) and the spare sleep-in rotation. You can choose to opt out at any time by speaking to the Independence Training Facility Manager.
